Support our marae
Tautoko Mai
ko matau te marae
'Hands, kai, building materials, fundraising & koha were always forthcoming'.
This is an opportunity for any of our whānau and those who live abroad who may be unable to come back the marae as often as they would like, to awhi and contribute to the on-going up-keep of our marae.
Like most marae, Matau has sustained its operational and maintenance costs since well before the opening in 1985, to ensure our marae remains well kept and ready for immediate use when called upon.
Similar to our whānau members who toiled for years and contributed to the re-build of Matau, the hands, kai, building materials, fundraising events and koha were always forthcoming.
Should this be an option for you and whānau and more importantly, should you be in a position to do so and would like to send koha to the marae account we will provide the marae account details so you can setup an AP of any amount and any frequency that will be received and recorded in the marae books in your name as your contribution to support the maintenance and up-keep of our marae.
Ka nui te mihi aroha ki a koē, ōtira, ki a koutou kātoa mō ō koutou aroha e kawe nei ki tō tātou marae.
With your basket and my basket the people will prosper.
