To register with Matau Marae you first need to sign up and create your website user account.

Complete and submit the website user account form below.
When you complete this form, click TUKUA button to submit. You will a be automagically re-directed to Step 2, Ngā Tīkanga ō Pātaka Kōrero – Terms of Use page.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you start the sign-up process, you must complete the remaining steps at the same time.

Failing to complete the process from Steps 1 to 3 will require you to restart the entire process using an alternative email address.

STEP 2: read & complete the short quiz for ngā tīkanga ō pātaka kōrero, accept and submit: 5 - 6min

Ngā Tīkanga ō Pātaka Kōrero – Terms of Use – The terms of use information provides a summary about ‘Data Sovereignty’, why this is important and how it relates to Pātaka Kōrero. This section also outlines what is expected to be observed and how you conduct yourself whilst you are logged in to Pātaka Kōrero viewing our digital taonga.
We ask that you thoroughly read the information provided. There is a short quiz that requires all answers to be correct (100%) in order to proceed to the Marae Registration form.

STEP 3: complete the maraE Member registration form: 6-10min

Complete as many fields as you can in all sections of the Members Registration form.
There are five sections to complete.

1. Personal Information

2. Whakapapa

3. Occupation & Living

4. Your whakaaro

5. Declaration

(Please complete the entire form in order to avoid any delays or further information requests).

Whakapapa information you provide will be forwarded to the marae kōmiti for review and verification.
Once verification has been approved, you will receive a final email confirmation with a link to ‘set up your password’ and instant access to Pātaka Kōrero platform.

Further instructions will be provided when you access ‘My Account’ page once logged into your website account profile.
